5th Annual

Quaker Cheer Challenge!

Thank all of you for joining us on Sunday to kick off your winter competition season! We truly appreciate your support and can't wait to see each team return to our event each year. Because so many of you do so year after year, we can continue our tradition of a smooth and efficiently ran competition for the athletes, spectators, and coaches. We know this season has been especially challenging, so we want to stress that this should be a fun, low pressure competition!

Cheerleader Drop Off --- 4040 Baker Road

Teams are permitted to come 20 MINUTES before their check in time. Team drop off is at Main Entrance on BAKER ROAD (4040 Baker Road, Orchard Park, NY 14127) this year. There will be a check in table and QR code with the most up to date schedule.

*If you have a JV team competing before your check in time. Teams can head down to the gym to watch, that is fine. But please do not show up at the beginning of the session and plan to watch the competition. We are trying to keep crowds to a minimum. Once your team is done competing, please find a space in the bleachers for the remainder of the competition and awards.



Parking

ALL spectators must enter and park from the Freeman Road entrance. Please tell your parents to type in 3901 N Freeman Road Orchard Park, NY 14127 into the GPS when coming to our school. The GPS will automatically take you to the Baker Rd side and spectators cannot enter there, they will be asked to drive around to Freeman.

**Spectators are permitted to come only FIVE MINUTES before their respective team’s performance time. Spectator fee is $5 for adults. Children 5 and under are free. Spectators will have priority seating in the front. They should enter, watch their athlete perform, grab their QCC t-shirt and a bubble tea, and promptly exit the building. The entire competition will be livestreamed so spectators can watch other teams and the awards ceremony.


Cheerleader Belongings:

After check in, your teams will be escorted to the Auditorium where they will be able to keep their belongings. PLEASE keep your teams off of the stage, it is not to be used at ALL for any stretching or stunting. Your team will have an assigned row with their name on it. Please only use the areas assigned to you and please be mindful of any mess left in your areas. There is NO food or drink allowed in the auditorium. In years past we have had issues with garbage, drinks, clothing etc left in the aud. Please, please make sure your athletes follow the no food or drink policy and make sure to clean up after themselves. We appreciate your consideration in advance.



Warmups:

The warmup area is in the Cafeteria. There is large maroon curtain blocking the view of the warmup area. Look for that when it is your assigned call time. Please do not show up early to your call time! Each team will have seven minutes to stretch, seven minutes for stunt warmups, and then seven minutes on a seven-panel floor. There will be a speaker with an AUX cord 9 (and iPhone adapter) for you to play your music while at the warmup floor. *We will not be providing water, please bring your own water bottles.

Vendors and Concessions:

There will not be food served at this year’s event. However, there will be Bubble Tea in the Freeman Foyer and official QCC T-shirts for sale located in the far corner of the gym.

Awards:

Teams should find a spot in the bleachers after their performance and stay there for the awards ceremony. Winning teams will be asked to come down to the performance floor.

Ribbons will be given to ALL 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams. There will be Grand Champion T-shirts for the team awarded the highest score of the day. Modified teams will receive a certificate with their placement. *New this year* TOP FIVE scorers of the day will be recognized!



Music:

The DJ will have access to phone plug ins at his booth. He will not accept zip/flash drive music as they take too long to load and cause delays. *New this year* The DJ will be located next to the judges for your front viewing pleasure 😊



Refunds:

We will not issue refunds to teams that pull out of the competition after TODAY 1/11. We extended the initial deadline and have asked multiple times to let us know ASAP. Thank you for understanding.

Let’s be honest- NO ONE is 100% ready!! And this year- we probably will NEVER BE! This is a low pressure, fun event to get the competition jitters out and lock in your first sanctioned event. So, don't stress and come ready or not! We promise a good time!
